OLYMPUS VIEW — Wall panelling, arched doorways and layered drapery give a new-build apartment the proportions of a much older one.

OLYMPUS VIEW

A new building rarely gives you a cornice. Olympus View borrows the grammar of classical interiors — panelling, arches, deep reveals — and applies it with restraint to rooms that were originally plain boxes.

Proportion first

Before any finish was chosen, the panelling grid was set out against the window centres and the ceiling height. Once the rhythm was right, everything else could stay quiet: one plaster tone, one oak, one stone.

Soft architecture

Full-height sheer curtains run wall to wall rather than window to window. They turn the glazing into a continuous soft surface and let a room be dressed up or stripped back in one movement.

Details that carry weight

Arched openings between the hall and the living room, a fluted bar front, and brushed brass hardware are the only departures from the neutral scheme — enough to give each room a point of focus.
